움직이는 그림으로 보기 →경계선이나 도형이 화면을 가로지르며 앞 장면을 지우고 다음 장면을 드러낸다. 두 화면 자체는 움직이지 않는다. 장난스럽고 고전적인 느낌.

편집 효과로 만든다(xfade=transition=wipeleft/wiperight/wipeup). slideleft는 두 화면이 함께 밀려나는 푸시라 와이프와 다르다. 실제 물체가 닦아내는 느낌이 필요하면 "foreground object wipes across frame"으로 생성한다.
Slide the next clip in with a left wipe lasting 0.6 seconds, joining two 4-second clips of the same size and frame rate: ffmpeg -i a.mp4 -i b.mp4 -filter_complex "xfade=transition=wipeleft:duration=0.6:offset=3.4" -an out.mp4. Swap wipeleft for slideleft or wiperight to change the look.
